British logistics startup raises £6.5m

Weengs, a British logistics startup that helps e-commerce businesses to get their online orders to customers, has raised £6.5 million in Series A funding.

The company is founded by Alex Christodoulou and Greg Zontanos and give the ability to small and medium size retailers, including those that use Ebay or Amazon, to have better logistics capabilities. This include ship-from-store” logistics solution that handles collection, packing and delivery.

Weengs collects order from the stores and packs them after that they are shipped by a chosen courier. The company processes a large range of items including electronics and musical instruments.

“Our business is part of the rising omnichannel opportunity we are seeing in retail,” says Pier Ronzi, Weengs’ co-founder and CEO.
