Post-Brexit deregulation puts a break to May-Corbyn talks

Logistics and Supply Chain News Uncategorized

Deregulating different industries to lower standards has become a major issue between Theresa May, the PM, and Jeremy Corbyn, the Labour leader. Corbyn is unhappy that the Conservative party could deregulate standards post-Brexit to please new trade partners such as the USA.

Labour has been pressing for a customs union with the EU after Brexit, a topic that many from the Conservative party do not want to talk about. Corbyn also accused the PM for not being ready to change her red lines, laid down in 2017.

This week representatives of the government and the shadow cabinet will meet to discuss different options and possibilities. However, it is not expected that the leaders will meet before Easter.
