Logistics operations for the project of Lidl were launched in a new, dedicated warehouse unit in Błonie near Warsaw, with the warehouse space of over 40 000 sqm. The location in the centre of Poland will enable efficient courier delivery throughout the country.
E-commerce packaging can bring value or break the business apart
The implementation of the project began last year and took place in several stages. The test phase was completed at the end of March and confirmed the full operational readiness of the warehouse. On the 5th of April 2019, Lidl launched an on-line shop offering its clients a diverse range of non-food products including clothing, textiles, home accessories and household appliances. Orders from the online store are sent from warehouses of Rhenus Logistics S.A.
