Rotom Europe has followed its recent acquisition of goplasticpallets.com and All Pallets by acquiring Lievaart-Slaghuis. This latest move, confirmed today (Monday 9 October), is part of the group’s strategic ambition to become the European market leader in sustainable load carrier services and solutions.
Established in 1982, Lievaart-Slaghuis is a family-owned business with operations in Hoek van Holland and Standdaarbuiten, both situated in the Netherlands. The company specialises in the procurement, production, recycling, and sales of both new and used pallets, along with pallet accessories.
Over the past four decades, Lievaart-Slaghuis has cemented its position as leader in the Benelux region through its commitment to quality, service and reliability. The business’ proactive approach to delivering tailored services and solutions to its customer base has seen Lievaart-Slaghuis enjoy consistent growth over the years. As part of the acquisition, the entire management team of Lievaart-Slaghuis will remain in place to lead the company and support further business development within Rotom.
This latest move follows Rotom’s acquisition of goplasticpallets.com and All Pallets in August; a deal that will see goplasticpallets.com increase the number of services and solutions it can offer its clients in the future, whilst simultaneously allowing Rotom to expand its load carrier activity in the UK.
Commenting on this latest acquisition, Charles Slaghuis, CEO of Lievaart-Slaghuis, said: “For many years, our key mission has been to provide customers with their pallet requirements in the best and most efficient way possible. We are very happy that we have found a partner in Rotom with whom we share the same vision and who will work with us to continue the development of the business, for the benefit of both our employees and customers alike.”
Arjan Kuiper, CEO of Rotom Europe, added: “We are very enthusiastic about the good match in terms of culture, professionalism and ambitions between Lievaart-Slaghuis and Rotom. The service-oriented approach, the type of customers and the geographical coverage of Lievaart-Slaghuis fit perfectly with Rotom’s activities in the Benelux.”
Jim Hardisty, Managing Director of goplasticpallets.com, said: “A key part of our decision to partner with Rotom was being able to add to our own expertise and build out our service proposition. It’s exciting to see Lievaart-Slaghuis join the group, and I look forward to meeting with Charles and his team in the near future.”
