The UK labour market has grown during the months of December 2018 to February 2019, the Office for National Statistics has announced.
The number of people working has reached a record high and rose by 179,000. The unemployment rate has reached its lowest rate since 1975 to 3.9%.
The ONS recorded a rise in the wages too by 3.4% to 11-year high which has managed to offset the inflation.
This positive findings can explain why consumer spending has kept steady despite lower investment rates and Brexit uncertainty.
